After three to five years the pigment can start to fade. How fast the pigment fades depends on where it is placed, your skin type, your age, sun exposure, skin products you use, and how well your skin reacts to pigment.
Is Permanent Makeup Safe?
Permanent makeup is considered micropigmentation and is similar to tattoos. It is perfectly safe as long as the makeup is applied by a skilled professional. Allergic reactions to the pigment used are possible, but rare. Hyperpigmentation is also possible in patients with darker skin tones.
